The 23rd Once-a-year César Chávez Peace and Justice Committee of Denver Celebration will choose location on Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.
The Celebration commences at 9 a.m. with a Mass at Regis College Saint John Francis Chapel on the Regis campus at 333 Regis Blvd.
Following Mass, the marchers will assemble in front of the Chapel and then march to César E. Chávez Park positioned on 42nd and Tennyson St. arriving at 11:45 a.m.
There will be a Grand Celebration in the park with breakfast, speakers, songs, dancers, and awards. There is no expense to attend and participate in this party. Distributors and other associates of the programs will set up tables at the park commencing at 8 a.m. Breakfast burritos and water will be furnished at no value to contributors,
At the park, Opening Ceremonies will get started at 11:45 a.m. and will include things like a Blessing and Dance by the Grupo Tlaloc followed by a welcoming by Dr. Ramon del Castillo and Xochitl Martinez, a Keynote Handle by Dr. Pricilla Falcon adopted by Award displays.
Tunes will fill the air, and there will be food and pursuits for small children. ¡Si Se Puede!
Each year the César Chávez Peace and Justice Committee of Denver selects men and women from the community to give awards to individuals who embody the values and determination of César Chávez to social justice. Award recipients will be honored at the community celebration adhering to the Marcha and observance of Chávez’s daily life and contributions.
The César Chávez Peace and Justice Committee of Denver’s mission is to fork out tribute and homage to the beliefs of justice and non-violence embodied by César E. Chávez as one of the Americas’ finest leaders, whose legacy for world-wide working-course interests and whose contributions in the direction of peace and humanity for all should be remembered and practiced.
