Solomon Burke was born on March 21, 1940 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Recognised as one particular of the founding fathers of soul in the 1960’s, he has been identified as “a critical transitional figure bridging R&B and soul.” He still left his legacy with numerous hits which includes “Cry to Me”, “If You Want Me”, “Got to Get You Off My Mind”, “Down in the Valley”, and “Everybody Wants Any person to Love”.
On the present this morning, musician and KUVO host Sam Mayfield joined us to share recollections of participating in music with “King Solomon” on the date of his beginning.
